I just celebrated my 35th birthday yesterday, and it made me recall that it was about a year ago this time, I first started my little blog. The original intention was to blog almost daily, and I think I did pretty well in the beginning. If it seems that I have dropped off at times, it was probably in large part to some unexpected hurdles life has given me this past year. Through it all, I am ever-thankful for my
partner in life, Philip, & my family & friends who have been by my side (both physically & from miles away). And now as I embark on my own personal new year, I wish for all happy things- and more frequent blog posts!

Things that make me happy today: beautiful & creative decorations for special parties. I am so in love with the styling designs of Ashley Meaders. {swing & fabric hearts made for max & margaux's sweet & original wedding... and her pretty paper mobile for a pancake party}.
